National Police Remembrance Day 2017

Some candlelight vigils are scheduled for Thursday evening, 28 September (unless otherwise stated) paired with marches and memorial services on Friday, 29 September.

These are part of the National Police Remembrance Day 2017 honouring officers who have lost their lives on duty.

The 1988 Australasia & South West Pacific Region Commissioner’s Conference selected 29 September.

29 September symbolises the feast day of St Michael, the Archangel who was always fighting evil.
